SLIDE IT IN – EDICIÓN 35 ANIVERSARIO
La banda de David Coverdale logró su primer disco multi-platino con Slide it in de 1984. Whitesnake vendió más de cuatro millones de copias del trabajo que incluía temas icónicos como Love ain’t no stranger, Slow an’ easy o el propio Slide it in
A partir del próximo 8 de marzo de 2019 podremos adquirir el nuevo pack de Whitesnake llamado Slide It In: The Ultimate Special Edition, con motivo de la celebración de su 35 aniversario, compuesto por un total de 6 CDs + DVD que incluirán tanto la versión europea como americana remasterizadas, temas en vivo y estudio inéditos hasta la fecha, una nueva entrevista a David Coverdale, así como un libro de 60 páginas con fotografías de la época. Recordemos que la gestación de Slide it in fue un poco peculiar por el ir y venir de algunos de sus integrantes, de ahí que saliera una primera versión del disco con Micky Moody a la guitarra, Colin Hodgkinson al bajo y Jon Lord a los teclados, y meses después la conocida como “versión americana” con John Sykes a la guitarra, Neil Murray al bajo y Bill Cuomo a los teclados. Sea como sea, estamos hablando de uno de los discos más importantes de la carrera de David Coverdale y sin lugar a dudas, también de uno de los más brillantes y elaborados de Whitesnake. ¡Qué súper-banda aquella, Dios!
Slide It In: The Ultimate Special Edition nos regalará versiones inéditas de cada uno de los temas del álbum (parecido a lo que ya tuvimos con la última reedición del disco estrella 1987), además de una docena de temas en vivo no publicados hasta la fecha de un concierto en Glasgow, la última aparición de Jon Lord como integrante de Whitesnake en un show en Suecia, y distintas demos de ideas que quedaron fuera del álbum y que ahora tendremos la gran oportunidad de escuchar.
